Six youths aged between 13 to 15 years have been served with Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions and excluded from the Sale and Brooklands Metrolink stations.
The youths are all from the Trafford area, but cannot be identified for legal reasons. The injunctions were served for causing continuous problems in the area.
A spokesman for GMP said:”It’s excellent work by Trafford’s Partnership Team Anti Social Behaviour Officers. Six Trafford youths aged 13 to 15 years have been served with Anti Social Behaviour Injunctions and their conditions are – Exclusion from Five Metrolink Stations – Altrincham Interchange, Sale, Timperley, Brooklands and Navigation Road without a Parent/Guardian.
” Prohibited from being in possession of any knife, blade or sharp instrument at any location in Trafford.
”Prohibited from associating with, meeting with or otherwise being in the presence of each other in any public location in Trafford except when attending organised activities with and in the presence of Trafford Youth Services or when attending School, Court in an official capacity or at a Police Station for a pre-arranged appointment or when attending any pre-arranged health-related appointment.
”Power of arrest is attached to each condition if breached. Trafford Council and GMP continue to work in Partnership to put a stop to ASB in our Borough.”
