Police appeal after van stolen overnight in Ashton on Mersey

A white Ford Transit van was stolen overnight from a house in Epping Drive in Ashton on Mersey.

Police are appealing to the public to try and find it. The van’s registration number is YH11 BOV.

A GMP spokesman said:”If you have information regarding the recent spate vehicles being stolen – all information is treated in confidence 0161 856 7530 (Altrincham Police Station), alternatively you can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
