Whodunnit? ‘Frying’ Squad called in to solve the mystery of the missing oven…

It’s not known if the ‘Frying’ Squad from GMP have been called in to assist with the investigation.

The oven was found overnight on the roundabout in Rifle Road, in Sale.

A GMP spokesman said:”We are looking for the owners. The oven will be removed in due course by the council…”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
