Car stolen in Sale Moor burglary overnight

Thieves have stolen a car during a burglary overnight on Delamere Avenue, Sale Moor.

A police spokesman appealed for help from the public in finding the distinctive dark blue Mazda car.

“If you can keep a look out for it – the registration number is DA65 KBU and it is a Dark Blue Mazda 6 VRM, with chrome fittings. If anyone has any information about the vehicle’s whereabouts please call 101,” said the spokesman.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
