Two cars stolen in overnight burglaries in Sale

Police are appealing for help in trying to trace two cars that were stolen in separate burglaries overnight in Sale.

Thieves struck in Broad Sale and stole a Mini Cooper registration number – T88 NYC, and in a second burglary, a black Mercedes ML250 was stolen from a house in Rydal Avenue – registration number BN64 JVD.

Police say:”Any information please ring 0161 856 7530 (Altrincham Police Station) up to 6 pm or 101 (24/7), GMPs Live Chat or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111″

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
