Five cars stolen in two burglaries in the Sale area overnight

[dropcap type “circles]Five cars were stolen in two burglaries in the Sale area overnight.

The police are appealing for help in trying to trace the cars, but they haven’t released the addresses where the burglaries occurred.

In the first break in a White Audi A6 – registration number PN66 YMM and a Black Volkswagen Golf registration number MA57 LWZ were taken.

In the second burglary, three cars were stolen – a Blue Ford BMAX registration number EJ63 SDX; a Black Range Rover Evoque registration number YB65 KSO and a Silver Audi A1 registration number MH18 BKU

A spokesman for GMP said: “If you see these vehicles please ring us on 0161 856 7530 up to 3pm. For any calls following this time please report via 101 or live chat on the GMP website.’

Sale Today has asked the police for more details and addresses.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
