Trafford Rowing Club won a silver medal at the British Rowing Indoor Championships
The junior squad from Trafford Rowing Club had a successful day at the
 Championships at the Lee Valley Olympic Velodrome in London.
The individual events consisted of a row as far as you can in a set time, dependant on age,
and there were some excellent performances across the squad and a number of personal bests.

“The Juniorj16 mixed relay squad of Rebekah, Ellen, Myles and Albert
took a silver medal. For those who use the rowing machine at the gym they kept a pace of
1:35/500m (including handovers) for 8 minutes;” said Simon Reeves, Chairman of Trafford Rowing Club.
“The squad compete indoors  with four people going as far as
possible in 8 minutes. The Junior 15 squad coming a fantastic 16th place in the Junior Girls
competing with girls in the age group above.”
He continued:“The entire squad were fantastic and coming back with a medal at a national championship is the cherry on the top.
This shows the hard work and dedication of the squad and their coach, Leon Langmead coming to fruition.”
