Three youths aged between 15 and 17 from Trafford, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been given lengthy prison sentences for Street Robbery, Witness Intimidation, and various other offences which occurred across the Sale West Community in May last year.

A police spokesman confirmed their sentences and added: “The offenders used weapons to intimidate and place their victim’s in fear before stealing from them.

“This is a significant result for the residents of Sale West, who for long periods of time have suffered from Anti-social behaviour, but no longer wish to live in fear and intimidation.

“The law-abiding people of the community will not tolerate the serious threat of harm or risk to themselves or their property.’

The spokesman paid tribute to the Sale West community “These convictions have been successful as a result of the community engaging with local partners.”
