Going down Memory Lane – prepare for all our yesterdays as the North West Film Archive take centre stage at the Sale Festival 2019 tonight.

Part of Sale Festival 2019

‘Trafford on Film’, is the focus on film from the Archives with a selection of films at the Sale Waterside Arts Centre at the Robert Bolt Theatre at 7.30 pm..

Tickets are £7 and concessions are £5 and the show runs for 2 hours 15 minutes including an interval.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
