Gigantic Remembrance poppies that fit onto lamp posts and trees – are proving popular at this time of year with local communities.
Now Trafford Council is offering to fit the poppies onto lamp posts. A spokesman says: “Should any community groups or others wish to purchase lamp post poppies in advance of Remembrance Sunday this year, they can be purchased from the Royal British Legion.
‘The Council are looking to assist with having the poppies attached to lampposts.
“If any groups are intending to purchase lamppost poppies, please let us know the name of the road and the lamppost number so this can be facilitated.
“For South Trafford area, please email: anna.jones@trafford.gov.uk”
The National Serice of Remembrance will be held on November 10th this year.
