Armed police are now patrolling the Arndale. A police spokesman said they were keeping an open mind whether the stabbings are terror related.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.
The memorial reads:
