Show must go on for Sale Nomads

T he show must go on for Sale Nomads who were forced to cancel their special VE Day show because of Covid-19.

The theatre group – set up in 1946 a year after the war ended – should have been treading the boards at their May performances which would have featured a VE Day tribute.

However, calling off the shows did not spoil their fun as they compiled a video performed by Nomads and Mini Nomads.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
