F ood fanatic Matty Peet found the perfect recipe to help the NHS – by cooking up spicy curries for his pals.

A hot madras or garlic chilli, served with chicken or paneer, plus rice and chapatis were delivered to more than a dozen homes in Sale.

Matty’s culinary skills have raised more than £300 for the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust charity which supports local hospitals.

Matty, a recruitment specialist, said: “I wanted to do something for front-line workers who’ve been going out to work while we’ve been staying at home.

“I love food and cooking and it took me three days to make the curries which were quite labour intensive. I’m not sure I’ll become a chef because it was a lot of effort but my mates enjoyed the dishes and their kind donations meant we raised money for the NHS.”

One satisfied customer…Craig Lumsden.
