C omedian Justin Moorhouse turns quizmaster on Wednesday, May 13, to support St Ann’s Hospice.
The Phoenix Nights star is the latest celebrity to present the virtual half-hour quiz which is held every Wednesday at 1 pm.
The fun quiz is open to the public with the £2.50 entry fee funding patient care. Many Sale residents have been treated by the hospice which celebrates its 50th anniversary next year.
Glam rock legend Noddy Holder, lead singer with Seventies pop group Slade, will present the quiz on the last Wednesday in May.
Noddy, a keen supporter of St Ann’s, will become the latest well known face acting as quiz master.
Soap stars Chris Bisson, Liam Fox and Lee Boardman, whose late sister was a St Ann’s patient, have each hosted a session, along with Manchester United stadium announcer Alan Keegan.
Eamonn O’Neal, chief executive of St Ann’s, explained: “Everyone is doing quizzes at the moment with their families, and we started to run them for staff in the hospice, and realised that they were tremendously popular.
“People can sign up for a ticket for the virtual quiz via our website, and can take time out on their Wednesday lunchtime to have some fun, while supporting local patients.”
