Greens Restaurant Sale opening date: Simon Rimmer shares update

Simon Rimmer, one of the founders behind legendary vegetarian restaurant Greens, has shared an update on the downstairs of the new restaurant in Sale’s Stanley Square.

In the video, Simon gives a quick update on progress made so far and explains how the bottom floor of the restaurant will be split between a bar and the restaurant.

Greens Sale is set to open its doors at 5.30pm on 5th July.

The team are currently recruiting for various roles at the Sale restaurant, including chefs of all levels, bar manager bar team and front of house.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
