Sale care home searches for local heroes

Oakfield Court Care Home, Sale

A care home in Sale is asking the local community to nominate ‘local heroes’ for the chance to win a £500 cash prize.

Care UK’s Oakfield Croft, on Oakfield, is searching for local people or organisations who consistently change people’s lives for the better, regardless of whether it’s friends, family or the local community.

The winner of the ‘local heroes’ competition will receive a £500 cash prize and be invited to the home’s summer open day event on 12th August.

Daniel Cole, home manager at Oakfield Croft, said: “We all know that one special person who makes a positive impact on the people around them each every day. Whether it’s the coach who ferries children to and from matches on the weekend, the teacher who tutors in their own time or the volunteer who organises local fundraisers – we want to reward them.

“Whether they’re a volunteer at a local charity, a community group that really makes a difference to the area, or simply someone who goes that extra mile for others – share your story with us so we can reward them with a treat they deserve.”

Nominate your ‘local hero’ by the 29th July 2022 and explain in 100-400 words why they deserve to be rewarded.
