Another burglary in Sale at a flat in Irlam Road

There has been another burglary in Sale, this time thieves struck in a block of flats on Irlam Road in Sale on Saturday.

GMP police released details today and are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious on Saturday, between 11.30am and 4pm.

A GMP spokesman said:”Entry was gained by damaging a rear door. Did you see any suspicious behaviour during that time? Please call us on the 101 number or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

In the last seven days there has been burglaries from houses in Harley Road, where jewellery, a laptop and I-pad were taken. Two cars were taken from a house in Framingham Road last week , when thieves broke in and stole the keys.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
