Police warning after Sale motorbike shop is burgled

Police are warning the public to be on the look out for motorbike equipment including leathers, and helmets being offered for sale, by thieves who broke in to the Bike Tyre Services shop on Booth Road, Sale.

A GMP spokesman said:”During the early hours of yesterday morning, offenders gained entry and a quantity of helmets, leathers and other equipment was stolen.

“If you have any information or have been offered motorbike equipment please call us on the 101 line or crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
