A brand new state-of-the-art Brentwood College was officially opened this weekend on its new site in Sale, by the Smiths legend Johnny Marr.
Johnny was given the VIP treatment with a tour of the new College which cost £8 million. The former Smiths guitarist, whose niece Jodie has attended the special needs school, was the surprise guest at an event to mark the relocation of the school from Timperley to Cherry Lane in Sale.
Our colleagues at Altrincham Today were given access to the visit after they helped raise funds for the college by taking part in the Great North Swim in June. Here is their video of the day:
