Burglaries in Sale at the weekend – did you see anything suspicious?

Two homes were broken into in the early hours of yesterday morning in Sale.

“There were two burglaries in Sale over the weekend. During the early hours of Sunday morning offender/s gained entry to houses on The Grove and Totnes Road. Property was taken from both houses.

“There was also a burglary in Hale on Victoria Road during Saturday evening. Property was stolen.

”Please let us know on the 101 line if you saw any suspicious behaviour in those areas at the time of the offences.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
