Thieves use “hook and cane” method to steal two cars in Sale burglary

[Two cars have been stolen by thieves using a “hook and cane” device in a Sale burglary overnight.

”The thieves used a hook and cane to retrieve the vehicle keys through the letter box overnight from a house in Amberely Road in Sale,” said a police spokesman.

“They took a silver Peugeot Sport HDI, – MK11 NXB, and a blue Ford Fiesta – NL14 BZM – If you have any information please call 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
