Police appeal for information after a burglary in Sale

Police are appealing for any information concerning a burglary in Sale overnight on Monday.

A spokesman for GMP said:”We are appealing for any information after a burglary at a house in Cecil Avenue, Sale. Overnight on 14 November offender(s) have smashed a conservatory and patio door to gain entry to the property.

“Any information regarding this incident please ring 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
