Another car stolen overnight in a burglary at a Sale home

Police area appealing for witnesses to an overnight burglary in Cromer Road, in Sale, where a BMW car was stolen.

The latest burglary comes after a police warning to residents living in the Sale Today area to be vigilant. ‘We are experiencing a seasonal spike in burglaries,” said the spokesman for GMP.

“The offender/s have forced patio doors at the address in Cromer Road, and stolen the homeowners vehicle and property from within. The vehicle is outstanding, please keep a look out for it. The registration number YE12 WSF – and the make of car is a BMW 530D Sport, in Grey

“Any information regarding this incident or the vehicle please ring 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
