If the plans are successful it will bring an end to the uncertainty of the future of the site at 319-365 Norris Road.
The application includes a row of eight retail units, four flats, six maisonettes and four semi-detached cottage flats.
The scheme would see the creation of nine three-bed semi detached houses, four one-bed apartments, 24 two-bed apartments and one three-bed apartment. These will be offered as a mixture of shared ownership and affordable rent.
Gatley Road will be transformed under the plans

“We are proposing to carry out the development in four phases to enable the shops to stay open and minimise disruption during the build.”
Access to the development will be provided via Norris Road and Gatley Road.
Trafford Housing Trust (THT) said it had worked alongside shop owners, residents, leaseholders, councillors and Sale Moor Community Partnership to ensure that they have had an input into the scheme proposals.
An early scheme for the site was consulted upon at the beginning of 2016 and comprised of a three storey building with ground floor retail development, first floor apartments and a medical centre.
A memorial for a student, Victoria Grant, originally on the site has been relocated to Sale High School, as part of an RHS award-winning garden by THT.
