There was a spike in burglaries in the Sale area at the weekend.
Police need help in tracing the thieves, who used the same methods to gain entry at homes in Washway Road, Highfield Avenue and Worthington Road.
A spokesman for GMP said:”The first burglary was on Washway Road, Sale, Friday evening – Offender used pebbles to smash double glazed doors where entry was gained.
“The other two burglaries were carried out on Sunday evening. A house in Highfield Avenue, was targeted – Offender/s smashed the rear patio doors by unknown means where entry was gained.
“And Worthington Road, Sunday evening – Offenders gained entry by smashing the rear patio doors by unknown means and exited as per entry.”
The news comes after a week of reporting burglaries in the Sale area, and prompted an angry response from residents on social media.
It’s an absolute joke. Can you not have community offices patrolling areas or something, It may deter them???”
