Flower power makes an exhibition of itself in Sale

[dropcap types ”circles”]Flower power will be the order of the day as Sale Flower Club makes an exhibition of itself.

They are holding a “Golden Moment” Floral Art and Photographic Show on May 27 at St John”s Church Hall in Brooklands Road in Sale.

It a glorious chance to see some wonderful works of arts and photos. There will be refreshments ,Tombola and a Raffle. A donation will be made to “the Alex Hulme Foundation” .

Admission is £2 on the day and the exhibition runs from 10.30 to 4pm .

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
