Car stolen in burglary in Sale at the weekend.

Thieves stole a car from a house in a burglary at St Andrews Close in Sale overnight at the weekend.

A GMP spokesman said:”It was a black Ford Focus, registration number FT14 GXE – have you this vehicle?

“If you have any information please report to 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
