Mercedes estate car stolen in Sale burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen in a burglary in Sale yesterday afternoon.

The daylight robbery was carried out at a house on Dunchurch Road, Sale.

A GMP spokesman said:” Thieves gained access to the house yesterday afternoon and stole vehicle keys taking a black Mercedes AMG estate, registration number MJ66 NRO.

“Please call us on 101 if you spot the vehicle or have any information.”

A black Ford Focus registration number FT14 GXE was stolen from a house in St Andrews Close in Sale overnight on Saturday.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
