Mercedes stolen in Sale burglary overnight

A red Mercedes E250 SE convertible car was stolen during a burglary on Arnesby Avenue in Sale overnight.

A GMP spokesman said:”It occurred after 3am this morning when the car – registration number KR13 XSD – was stolen.

“Please contact us on 101 if you spot this vehicle or have any information, quoting log number 263 from 21/06/17.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
