Car stolen in overnight burglary in Sale

Police are appealing for help in trying to trace a car stolen in an overnight burglary in Sale.

A spokesman for GMP said:”An Audi Q7 in White, registration number MT17 VWR was stolen during a burglary late evening yesterday on Ravenstone Drive in Sale.

“The offenders gained entry by smashing the glass of a rear door, once inside, keys were located before the offender/s made off in the vehicle from the driveway.

“If you have any information please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.”

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:
