A picture taken from CCTV of a woman in a hoodie has been released by police investigating the attempted robbery at the RBS bank in Sale.
The incident happened at about half past four on Thursday September 7, when a woman approached the counter of the bank on The Mall.
It’s alleged she passed a threatening note to the cashier before demanding cash. When the cashier told the woman she couldn’t access the cash storage areas the would-be robber left.
In releasing the CCTV image, Detective Constable Steve Matthias of GMP Trafford borough, said: “Although some time has passed since this incident took place, we have released this image in the hope that somebody will be able to recognise this woman.
“We are keen to speak to her and would ask that anybody who recognises her contacts police.”
DC Matthias said anyone recognising the woman should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1.
