Vandals leave a new graffiti trail in Ashton on Mersey

Vandals have struck again leaving a graffiti trail in Ashton on Mersey.

“They have left a trail on an area that covers Moss Lane, Goodwood Avenue, Cecil Avenue and Manor Avenue, and the playing field known as Goodwood Field at the Firsway end,” said one resident, who didn’t want to be named.

She said:”It make me angry to see this. Its all over the area and nobody seems to be doing anything  about it.  It’s shocking to see, but people don’t seem to report it.”

She took a dossier of pictures of the graffiti to show to Sale Today. “I first noticed it a few weeks ago, and it’s getting worse.”

Three weeks ago we reported on the trail of graffiti that stretched for a mile along York Road to Ashton Lane.  We launched a “Rub It Out’ campaign to highlight the graffiti, which was cleaned up by a team from Trafford Council.

A spokesperson for GMP Trafford South said: “We are currently investigating various graffiti offences which have occurred on Ashton Lane in Sale.
