Brass and Voices charity concert 2022 to be held in Sale

The Mayor of Trafford, Laurence Walsh, will enjoy an evening with Brass and Voices — a concert sponsored by Trafford Arts Association.

The monies raised will support his chosen charities, Gorsehill Studios and the Trussell Group Food Bank.

The concert will take place at The Salvation Army Hall, Ashton Lane, Sale on Saturday May 14, 2022, starting at 7pm.

Who is performing on the night?

Performers on the night are Sale Brass Band, Sale Male Voice Choir, Meadway Singers, Meadway Youth Choir (pictured above) and Spotlight Drama Youth Theatre.

Tickets, including a programme, are £10 and available at the door or by booking in advance – email Andrew Jeffries at jeffries.awh@btinternet.com to secure your tickets.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
