Sale is set to celebrate The Queen’s 70 years on the throne this weekend with street parties across town.
A list released by Trafford Council shows around 20 of these events, although we are sure that other local celebrations will be happening too.
With these Platinum Jubilee street parties come a number of roads that will be blocked or closed entirely.

- Mountain Ash Close
Sunday 5th June
- Abington Road
- Blair Close
- Cumberland Road
- Gawsworth Road
- Shrewsbury Road
There are plenty of other community events happening across the Jubilee weekend, including ‘Music Through the Ages’ at Worthington Park, part of Sale Festival and ‘Party in the Square’ at Stanley Square.
The Worthington Park event takes place on Friday 3rd June from 12pm-4pm, while the celebrations in Stanley Square start on Saturday 4th June from 1pm. Both are family-friendly events, with live music, food, drink and activities for children.
