The annual programme of outdoor yoga in Walkden Gardens returns this week, as part of Sale Festival.
Event organiser and yoga instructor Gaynor Mullin-McGlashan brings her yoga sessions of mindfulness and relaxation to one of Sale’s best green spaces. This is set to be the 12th year of yoga classes in Walkden Gardens, with at least 50 per cent of all proceeds set to go directly to the Friends of Walkden Gardens.
Classes start tomorrow, Tuesday 14th June from 6-7pm on the Gardens’ theatre lawn and will take place every Tuesday at the same time through the summer – weather permitting.
Booking is not required, simply turn up armed with a yoga mat (or similar) and wear something warm for relaxation. Classes are £5 per session and are suitable for complete beginners, so if you’ve always wanted to try yoga but haven’t found the time or confidence, this supportive session is a great place to give it a try.
Who are the Friends of Walkden Gardens?
Regular visitors to Walkden Gardens might have seen a collection of hard workers tending to the garden from time to time. Those are some of the Friends of Walkden Gardens. They work hard to maintain and improve the gardens throughout the year – and, as one of the best parks in Sale, they certainly do a great job.
