Stanley Square to host Queen’s Jubilee ‘Party In The Square’

An afternoon of free family fun with live music, kids’ workshops and plenty more.

Sale’s Stanley Square is set to host an afternoon of entertainment to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. 🇬🇧

On Saturday 4th June from 1pm-5pm, the Square will be home to a celebration packed with family-friendly activities, food and drink and live music for the community.

Children will be entertained by kids workshops from Sale’s Our Kids Social and bubble fun activities, and locals can enjoy music throughout the afternoon from live DJs, singers and the Belle Vue Brass Band.

The activities are free to attend and you don’t have to book – simply pop along to the Square on the day.

While there, you can enjoy any of the popular food and drink places in the Square, including Petisco, Roti Sale and A Few Scoops for a sweet treat inside Sale Foodhall.

WALTON PARK WIMPY MEMORIAL: A new war memorial has been unveiled in Walton Park, to commemorate the aircrew who crash-landed there on the third of August 1943, killing two Australian airmen.

The memorial reads:

In honour of the allied airmen whose aircraft crashed on this site 3rd August 1943
